South African in origin, the Pinotage grape is the result of a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut vines.

Hand harvested and hand crafted from our front home block the wine was produced using 25% whole bunch pressed and wild yeast fermentation resulting in a modern style Pinotage.

Dark hues tending to crimson and violet on the edges with berry fruits and earthy tones of dusty forest floor, tobacco leaf and leather on the nose.

Intense fruit flavours are underpinned with a gamey savouriness. Smoky with hints of tobacco leaf, blackberry, tar and licorice. Elegant stem characters influence the tannin structure supporting the fruity bouquet.

Match with dishes like smoked duck, pulled pork, aubergines, grilled portobello mushrooms and root vegetables.

Enjoy now or cellar with care up to 10 years.
