Esk Valley is the most northerly of the Hawke's Bay wine growing areas and is one of the oldest vineyard locations in the area. We pride ourselves on our boutique-style production, growing twelve varieties of grapes in small, carefully managed blocks, over 11 ha of vineyard area.
Little interference with the natural growing processes. Little handling of the delicate fruit.
In our new Little range we use natural winemaking practices and just a little bit of tinkering to create wine that glows with Hawke’s Bay sunshine.
In fact, if our soil needs a little attention - rather than applying chemicals and fertiliser - we prefer to sow rows of wildflowers between the vines, then sit back and let nature balance the soil nutrients on her own.
It’s just one way we are creating a healthy and sustainable vineyard. A little step, yes - but often a little means a lot.
